By the end of 1950s, boxing was prohibited by the government, costing YU Jili his boxing career. For the livelihood of him and his family, he was arrested during his attempted crossing into Hong Kong. For the sake of his family and friends, he made the painful choice of divorce and was sent to a labour camp for 10 years. In 1985, during Ali's second visit to China, a soon-to-be-retired YANG Libin (former member of Shanghai Sport Association) brought YU's youngest daughter to Tianjin and initiated him to a performance fight - with Ail - in Shanghai. Upon his homecoming to Shanghai with guilt for his family, the resentment from his oldest daughter for leaving the family left a bitter taste in his mouth after paying a visit. Seeing YU's demoralised self, YANG unveiled the reason for his invitation. As a result, YU puts on his gloves again and, with the help from his second daughter, reconcile with his first. On the night before the fight, YANG is stocked to learn of YU's disqualification. He, then, disqualified himself on the time of the fight and gave YU a grand introduction instead. YU puts everything he has into the gloves he fights Ail with, while Ail puts his sincere respect into the fight. YU is still standing after 3 rounds. When the bell rings, the two boxers - YU and Ail - hug as the warriors they are.
