Seven respectable, middle-class people in a comfortable, bourgeois parlor argue over each their perceptions of a mysterious woman seen at the window of a nearby building. It soon is discovered that many conflicting versions of the truth are told by the main characters, each of whom claims the other is insane. As the play progresses, they learn that it is not possible to find the truth. We have to settle for our own perception of it - and accept others' equally limited perceptions. TV adaptation of Pirandello's 1917 play.
