Junkyard Dog (2023)

Set in the scrapyards of French-speaking Switzerland, Dog of the Junkyard tells the story of a young man named Simon (Robin Vallon) who is struggling to find his place in the world. Simon lives with his mother, Chantal (Patricia Mazuy), in a small town. He has no job and no prospects, and he spends his days hanging out with his friends and drinking. One day, Simon meets a young woman named Louise (Clara Gostynski) who is also from a working-class background. Louise is intelligent and ambitious, and she is determined to escape the scrapyards. He gets a job at a local junkyard, and he starts dating a woman named Jessica (Anaïs Uldry). However, Simon is still haunted by his relationship with Louise, and he is unable to move on.
