The film is set on the Theatrical Stage in the city of Mumbai. The players belong to one of the smallest ethnic minority communities in the world: the Parsis. Their vibrant and beloved tradition of 'Parsi Theatre' spanning centuries, has lain in the dust for decades. After over 30 years of dormancy, the ageing icons of this tradition return to the stage, setting aside their walking sticks and wheelchairs for one final curtain. The film chronicles this cast of distinctive characters as they rehearse, and ultimately perform a show, in what will be for most of them their last time on the stage after careers spanning over half a century. As the film tumbles headfirst into the creative chaos of the rehearsals, we get an intimate portrait of the bonds shared between the veteran stars and the younger crop of actors, along with a distinct flavour of their sensibilities, marked by a particular brand of not-so-subtle (and sometimes downright potty) humour that is uniquely their own. The players want to put up the best show they can, not one that's simply good enough given its 'senior citizen' tag. A great tragedy befalls the cast on the eve of the Final Show. Will it change everything? Or will the show go on, despite all odds?
