Filmed in the Women's Correctional Prison and in the Psychiatric Hospital, Macedonia. This documentary is just giving a glimpse inside the walls of these institutions and the people locked inside. In Macedonia, its almost impossible to film inside these institutions, totally forbidden for outside people, and also extremely difficult to convince the prisoners and the patients to show their faces on the camera, be exposed in public and to tell their stories. Trying to break these taboos in our country, we wanted to seize a sight of the atmosphere in these institutions, way of living, suffering, dreams and hopes. As still being a taboo, a social stigma being in either of these institutions, people who are serving time keep it as a "secret", so when coming out to freedom they can keep their "normal" social life. The challenge was how to make a film within just few hours given to us to film in both locations, just two directors and one small camera Full of impressions and emotions, we tried to catch or actually "steal" any given moment that came our way. This is, what we call "Raw" experimental film making, visual documentary. Done in a very unusual way and is predominantly questioning the meaning of freedom.
