The Hammer of Witches: The Screech Owl (2021)

The Screech Owl takes place during the events of Alexander Paspa's first film Malefica (2018). The story opens with a string of missing children cases that are yet to be solved. A private detective (Paul) and his partner (Mark) are the last hopes for the families. Quickly, everyone in town becomes a suspect, even local Vietnam veteran Jeff Brown, who not only lives close to the crime scene but also happens to receive a mysterious transmission on his radio. Mark is certain his partner is leading them to yet another dead end, another unsolved case. Has detective Paul's judgment been affected by his obsession to solve the mystery, or is something much more sinister going on? After the unlikely alliance between the relentless private detective and the bitter Jeff, the two must face their own demons in order to confront the sinister force behind the rising number of disappearances.
