Failing actress, Adrianna Parisi, is now free to pursue Damon, the best friend of her recently deceased ex, George. She picks no better time to tell Damon how she feels than at George's tiki-themed "celebration of life" held back at the American Legion in the small town she left 12 years ago. But Adrianna's hopes and intentions are foiled when she arrives and finds that George is still alive, yet barely breathing, on a hospital bed in the corner of the gathering; having this party, his last dying wish. Adrianna soon learns that George and his mother have had a hard time letting the thought of Adrianna and George go, so much so that upon the sight of her George goes into cardiac arrest and (finally) croaks. Now, with her mission to tell Damon how she really feels in a more awkward place than to begin with, Adrianna learns what she truly regrets about the life that she left behind.
