The Dinner Plan (2021)

Will wants to do something big to impress his girlfriend, Ava, for her birthday, so he resolves to cook a lobster for dinner. After purchasing the lobster from two black market seafood dealers, Will realizes that he has to kill the lobster on his own before cooking it. After mulling over whether or not he can take the lobster's life, he decides to spare the lobster and surprises Ava with the news that he's keeping it as a pet. When Ava asks what Will prepared for dinner, Will reveals that he only had time to get fast food. The two eat silently with the lobster sitting behind them in a fish tank.
