Indian Grove

Spend time in our landscape, meet our horses and understand how traditions keep our community strong. May, 2021 - We documented the Stelkia memorial cattle drive, an historic event that has been taking place in the Okanagan for over a hundred years. Indian Grove is Dora Stelkia's story about passing along important traditions from her mother to her own daughter and supporting her family, community and culture. Dora's mother Jane is the eldest member of the Osoyoos Indian band. The cattle drive keeps Jane's family connected to the land and provides opportunity to work with and train the wild horses that have been a part of their culture since time immemorial.
