Saving Joy (2020)

It is the year 2030. An Instagram photo of the heroine being pregnant in 2020, unfolds memories from her experience in quarantine. Ten-year-old Joy and her mother take turns, narrating their experience during the first lockdown, due to the Covid19 pandemic. At times, a wonderful journey to self-awareness and other times, nightmares and terror. Mother and embryo share moments of utter happiness and extreme distress. As a single parent, she is struggling to cope financially, feeling anxious about her unborn child.
