In a world that has become increasingly mechanized and homogenized, the unique and the individual deserve a special place. While 20 million artisans are part of the crafts industry, it is the hands of each individual craftsperson that creates the object of utility or beauty. It is the nuance of being an artisan that the film represents. Through the contemporary exploration of professional entrepreneurship, technological advances and intervention from designers, the experiences of a traditional craftsperson from across the country and their connection to the land which gave them their identity are explored.
