A 45minutes documentary program "Brain Ball: The Legacy of the Vancouver Asahi" The legendary Japanese Canadian baseball team, Vancouver Asahi, was formed 100 years ago and disbanded in 1941. The Asahi was a team of legend and romance, and an inspiration to all Japanese Canadians despite being discriminated against and harshly treated at the time. The Asahi was renowned for out-foxing opponents who were physically stronger than them by using cunning strategy and unconventional methods. The style of their strategy was known as "Brain Ball". Their baseball even attracted non-Japanese fans beyond the borders of the Japanese Canadian community. The documentary combines archival footage along with interviews with the last of the Asahi, Kaye Koichi Kaminishi, and other Asahi related individuals.
