Berlin lawyer Joachim Vernau receives a lucrative offer: he is to prepare grammar school students at a public school for their law studies and lead the law club. Vernau takes over the 7th lesson, but on the very first day there is a scandal: Katharina Oettinger, the headmistress, has concealed the fact that a girl from Vernau's class committed suicide a few months ago. Allegedly, Sami, a boy with Lebanese roots from the secondary school two streets away, is to blame. But was Clarissa really just suffering from love sickness? His pupils, above all Samantha and Matthias, close themselves off more and more. Vernau discovers that role-playing games were being played at the expensive public school. One, "The Black Queen", goes back to ancient medical records. The school was once a mental hospital, and someone must have found these old files in the attic. The delusions of a child murderess became a game. While Vernau is preparing his mother's move and rediscovers his own old testimonies, one of his pupils becomes the victim of a poison attack. The perpetrator is not found, but fear runs rampant at the school. Especially because there are increasing signs that gambling is taking place again, despite the ban and draconian punishments, including expulsion from school. Vernau meets with a group that plays "larp" live action role play at night in a Berlin park. He learns from these "vampires" that there was actually someone who showed up with real weapons some time ago and told them about a new game in which there would be deaths. They kicked this lunatic out and didn't let him play anymore. And this lunatic now wants revenge. "The 7th Hour" is the fourth case for Berlin lawyer Joachim Vernau.
