See You Soon

Ryan, a young photography student from the U.S., visits the hometown of his mother (Bonao, Dominican Republic), in the hopes of reconnecting with his Dominican roots and at the same time take photos of the mountains that surround the town. One morning, while taking photos of the town, he meets Pilar, a girl from Bonao but also with American heritage. Immediately impressed with each other, they strike up a friendship. With little time left before he has to return to New York, Ryan decides to go up on the mountains to finish his series of photos. Pilar decides to go with him and they get the help of Javier, another young local and a friend of Pilar, to act as a guide through the mountains. Up on the mountain, Ryan and Pilar go on a picturesque adventure, as if they were in paradise. Later, at the airport, they say goodbye but not before Ryan gives her a promise... "See you soon".
