Tras la memoria de Jañao

Jañao is head of Clans of an ethnicity, Aymenu, who inhabited the Amazon since the beginning of time. In the early twentieth century, by the greed of western civilization for Amazonian rubber, enslaved and then exterminated the Aymenu leaving only seven survivors on the face of the earth. Single carrier of the oral history of her people, Jañao received from her father, a mandate together the seven survivors, scattered in the jungle in a place inaccessible to man called Chorrera where according to their history the world began, to celebrate a crucial ceremony that will allow her people to complete their life cycle and finally rest in peace. Old woman, Jañao decides that it is time to fulfill the mission of her life and embarks onto Iquitos - Peru, to the mythical town of LaChorrera- in Colombia, with her youngest granddaughter. This long and fascinating journey is the ideal medium for Jañao to preach (perhaps for the last time) the founding myths of his culture, to her little granddaughter. In her dialect, she will officiate the ancient ceremony to connect with her ancestral protector and under the stars we will witness how their sacred songs allow them to reconnect with their dead.
