Distillation (2015)

La Guera, a poor uneducated woman in a small Mexican town looks shocked by her emotional patterns too late. She has a conversation with an unknown voice who she shares all the humiliations and beating lived with a man she married but never the less love and respect. While she's going through her memory, we see how she repeats patterns of the majority of homes where chauvinism prevails: beating, depend and codependency, frustrations, weariness, hopeless, unconsciousness. While memories hold her mind, the spectator puts the puzzle pieces together and discovers how she died after the last beating and raped. And that her confident is a worm who's eating whats inside her head or maybe an angel who helps her pass through the other side.
