When penniless artist Jake is given 24 hours to repay a spiralling debt to a loan shark, he has only one way out: to sell his favourite painting to his only fan - in Brussels. He heads for London's Eurostar terminal but when he realises he's being tailed he panics and boards the wrong train - to Paris. Penniless, desperate and with no means of getting to Brussels, he resorts to stealing a handbag from a beautiful and brilliant young woman, Gina. But Gina is on a mission of her own - to deliver a million euros worth of diamonds to a buyer in Monte Carlo - and she's not about to let an opportunist thief derail her plans. When Jake swallows the key to the tiny security box in her handbag, this unlikely duo become reluctant but mutually dependent partners in a frantic race to Monte Carlo against the clock, the loan sharks and the police.
