Young Thales is bestowed with the great honor and responsibility of taking up the mantel of the Protector of Sparta. Younger than the rest of the spartan generals, Thales possesses a strength of heart and leadership that the others do not. As jealousy and dissension rise amongst his peers, Thales becomes the target of a plot of betrayal to remove him from this sacred appointed position. After being turned over to the long time enemies of Sparta, they tortured, bound and threw his body into the Great Red Lake. By the will of the Gods and the poison waters of the Red Lake, Thales begins a journey of evolutionary transformation that will make neither Human nor demon but a new product of evolution.
