Movie legend Roger Corman goes to Brazil with the last drops of his famous X-ray Eye-drops, to improve Ivan Cardoso's retina, making a definitive plunge into the cinematic unconscious of a disturbed mind. For 10 years Ivan Cardoso has set aside traditional cinema to work directly on 35mm film in a handmade film, frame by frame. Scratching, drawing, puncturing, interfering, staining, and even erasing the image with acid. Developing various techniques and ways of doing everything that academic manuals say cannot be done. The combination of the abstract imagery with the direct reality on the camera, in which sometimes one blends into the other and in other times one contradicts and fights the other. It's fascinating.
