'When someone dies, all of a sudden, you're close to The Veil, and no one else is,' says Nadia Hagen, a fire-spinning performance artist and visionary force behind the All Souls Procession, a parade to honor the beloved dead in Tucson, AZ. They juggle bureaucratic resistance, financial risk, and the event's growing popularity to keep the Procession free, peaceful and true to its grassroots beginnings.
