Until the 2015 Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage nationwide, Nebraska's initiative 416 was considered the most extreme and comprehensive defense of marriage amendment in America. This documentary explores the origins of the initiative, its impact on the local lgbt community, and attempt by the ACLU to overturn the amendment through a lawsuit. The documentary also explores the issue of same sex marriage nationwide and features interviews with both liberal and conservative activists, politicians, and ministers, along with members of the sate's lgbt community.
