Storyline: In 1972, Aretha Franklin performed two nights of gospel music at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, creating her landmark album Amazing Grace. The sessions were filmed by Sydney Pollack, but the footage was never released and became a lost treasure. Years later, honoring Pollack’s wish, producer Alan Elliott completed the film with the help of dedicated collaborators.
