When JESSIE receives a call from her mother, ELLEN, to return home and help with a planned "intervention" for her increasingly eccentric father, TONY, she begrudgingly agrees- only to find herself on a rollercoaster of life-changing events. Things spiral out of control as Jessie falls in love with an inappropriate young hockey player, JOE, and finds herself in a one-sides grudge match with her older sister, JENNIFER. An unexpected death causes Ellen to ask for a divorce from Tony, setting Tony on a path of winning back the love of his life. In the end Jessie learns to let go as the family comes back together in ways they didn't think possible.
