Lemon Eyes (2017)

Set in Detroit Michigan 1928, Lemon Eyes uses striking imagery to explore the 1920s through the lens of a reluctant housewife named Violet. The film takes place the week before and after an experimental medical student named Mary helps Violet gain access to a mysterious herb called tansy. The film has received 9 awards from over 15 film festivals worldwide, including Best Director and the Michigan Masterpiece Audience Award.
