Dagadi Chaawl (2015)

Daagdi Chaawl tells the story of a common man, caught in a deadly spiral of crime, narrated against the backdrop of the infamous gang wars of late nineties. The man in question is Surya, son of a police constable, who owns a small garage near the chawl he resides in. He is much in love with a girl from the same neighborhood. A potentially serious threat to her forces him to become a sworn enemy of Daagdi Chaawl, ruled by the notorious mafioso, known to Mumbai underworld as Daddy. By the time the air clears, Surya has crossed the line to the other side.
