A breezy comedy set in the art world of New York that brings an insider's insight into the financial troubles that constantly beset a group of Big Apple artists struggling to survive. Following the devastating damage wreaked upon New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina, they've been quite inspired by the work of the mysterious street artist known as Banksy, who went down to the most desiccated parts of New Orleans and left a series of his stenciled artworks on the side of buildings. As Banksy art is often ephemeral, and mistaken for graffiti, it is worth a lot of money to collectors, so our artists come up with the bright idea of hopping on a truck and going down to the predominantly black neighborhoods in New Orleans to cop a (fictional) Banksy original called 'Trumpet Boy' from the side of one of the buildings. Comedic adventures ensue, as our hapless artists haven't really a clue on how to steal this public artwork properly. But driven by poverty and a genuine admiration for the artist they hope will make them rich they make for a surprisingly engaging and entertaining group of protagonists.
