American Reds: What Must We Dream Of?' tells the dramatic and little known story of the American Communist Party between 1930 and 1960. The program examines the Party's utopian vision for a better world based on equal rights for women, African Americans and all minorities; and on the end of exploitation of workers by capitalism. At the same time American Reds reveals how the Party's blind allegiance to Stalin and the Soviet Union contributed to its downfall during anti-communist frenzy of the Cold War.
