Situated on the banks of river Krishna, Amaravati is a small town of Andhra Pradesh, India for its pre-historic Amareshwara Temple and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Amaravati is also the site of a great Buddhist Stupa built during the pre-Mauryan times. This documentary examines both the traditions and deliberates the historical origins of the temple vis-a-vis the Buddhist monastery.
