Texas Is My Home

In 1875, Texas was politically beginning to become a force in the United States of America. This is the story of one of those men who fully believed in the future of this dynamic State. His wife passed away from the dreaded disease Tuberculosis, which thrust Daniel Garrity's, Idyllic marriage into a life of loneliness. His acquired wealth was meaningless without a woman to share the things it could provide. Daniel, despite being fifty years of age decides the answer is to attain a mail order bride. The Country of Ireland, deep in a recession from the potato famine affords him the opportunity to bring Jennifer O'Toole, a beautiful 18-year-old Irish lass to Texas. Like many love encounters, this Spring - Winter romance is wrought with many unforeseen circumstances. We become privy to an affair, murder, and a trial that causes chaos in what normally would be a simple but different love affair. Texas becomes the backdrop for this psychological struggle in the minds of a man and woman from two different ages of life and growing up in different Countries.
