America's Untold Journey (2016)

500 years of the the African American experience in the Americas. The first Africans to step foot on Florida's shores in 1513 were not slaves, and the first slaves to step foot on American shores where not African. This is the story of explorers and adventurers and runaway slaves who fought for and gained their freedom in Spanish Florida. It's a story about the struggle for equality in post Civil War America and the struggle in St Augustine Florida that turned the tide for Civil Rights Legislation.
