Barrier: The Invisible Machine (2010)

When Racemaster Gallea Flynn (Claudia Christian) dies she leaves her top secret barrier engine in the hands of two rivals; her ex-husband Dante Lau (Bruce Hopkins) and young apprentice James Ngaio (Matthew Werkmeister). The only catch is that they must enter the upcoming galactic cup and prove which of them is most worthy to earn the exclusive rights to her engine.
