Brief Intermission (2016)

Set in a brutally efficient dystopia, the film takes place behind-the-scenes of a glorifying musical for 'The Chairman': an oppressive dictator who rules with an iron fist. We follow Flora, the lead dancer; Gracie, the head technician; and Malcolm, the stage manager, as they battle loyalty, love and terror in a bid to prove their worth. --- Produced and directed by Misha Vertkin at the age of 20, Brief Intermission is a collaboration between 170+ cast, crew and companies to make an epic sci-fi dystopia film for £10,000.
