Would you help your brother ditch a dead body? Etienne Leroy must make this snap decision when his younger brother Mathias admits to having accidentally killed his young mistress. The decision is pressing, as the body is lying on Etienne's living room floor, the lent locale for his brother's tryst. Etienne (46) has been protecting Mathias (40) since their mother died when they were children, and has come to believe that this is his duty. Etienne sacrificed his own future by taking over his father's failing fish cannery, enabling Mathias to pursue his education to brilliant result. Today, Etienne is proud of his brother's success as a well-known public figure, the head of France's world-leading St. Nazaire shipyard. So with Mathias risking scandal and prison, Etienne doesn't hesitate. He comes to his brother's assistance-as he always has-and disposes of the body, himself. Except, the thing is - Little by little, Etienne discovers that the truth is far from what his brother told him: This was no accident. It was murder. To his astonishment and horror, Etienne soon finds himself the prime suspect. Caught in an inextricable trap, he will live a hellish nightmare: proof accumulates against him and he is caught in the judiciary's maw. Accused of murder, he is incarcerated. The only one who can prove his innocence is Mathias, who had promised to confess his guilt, should it become necessary. But guided by his wife, Mathias does just the opposite, heaping blame upon his brother. Will Etienne finally accuse his brother? Or will he continue to protect him and take the fall?
