An unnamed businessman (Greg Kennedy) sits in a parked car, a pouring rainstorm beating at the window. His tie askew, his hair disheveled, he is anxious, fearful - and when the phone begins to ring - utterly paralyzed. Earlier, laying in bed with a beautiful young lover (Mariana Novak), the businessman explains the nightmares that have been filling his nights - he is dreaming of her, but he is drowning. Lately the nightmares have become so real, he worries that he might actually die in his sleep. His lover laughs off his worries, insisting that a real lover will only die from love. He counters that lovers also sometimes die from jealousy. At that suggestion, the lover grows suspicious, and quickly begins to uncover the fact that the businessman may be married, making their affair a sham, and even worse, her a fool for believing in it. As the beautiful moment devolves into an argument, passions become anger, and the frolicking lovers begin to dress, cementing the unspoken understanding that after this night, they will never again cross paths. Now, them must come to an understanding within themselves, and among each other, of what their affair meant. Was it all a lie, or was there some truth to the epic poems the businessman spun when inspired by the sight of his lover? As they come to grips with their own truth, a rain begins to fall from the sky, washing away the beauty of what once was, and leaving them with nothing but the memory of a moment in the sun.
