By chance, 11 year old Merel discovers a big family secret: her biological grandfather is Turkish. Against her mother's wishes, Merel and her new friend Emre, start a quest for her mysterious grandfather Mehmet. During this adventurous journey, Merel meets special persons and gets caught up in funny and difficult situations. To find out in the end that true family is closer than she thinks.
