In the state of Pernambuco, Brazil, the FUNASE is the institution responsible by the application of educational measures for young offenders (between 12 until 18 years old), according by the law. As in other states of Brazil, where similar institutions show structural difficulties as or more serious, the FUNASE faces problems of various natures: houses and units in poor conditions, overcrowding, lack of well-trained technicians and a board of directors that hasn't the support of the state administration. In this video documentary, directors, employees and admitted teenagers talk about these issues.
