La Rancherita (2016)

La Rancherita (HIlda Gonzalez Reyna) is a Texan-Mexican singer who owns a very small orphanage in south Texas. She can't pay the mortgage and the children are very upset. She tries everything to get money from asking friends to bank loans, but to no avail. She finally gets pointed in the wrong direction to a known gangster/drug dealer in Corpus Christi, Texas, named Mr. King (Damian Chapa). King tells her "I'm a greedy son of a gun, I got ten empty houses and love each one". King tells La Rancherita if she wants to save her kids home she better get on a plane with some drugs to Spain and collect some money. But he needs a "clean face". Everyone that King knows is dirty and on the facial recognition computers. La Rancherita assures King "I'm as clean as a kitty cat". La Rancherita gets on a plane, travels to Spain, and finds a young handsome Spanish man to help her get into all kinds of trouble. In the likes of Federico Fellini's outlandish comedic type setting: La Rancherita finds her self swimming in real hot water with an even crazier drug dealer named Jimmy O'Grady (Gerald Clarke) in Marbella who falls in love with her as she is a "real woman". Jimmy calls King and demands." I'm not letting her come back I love your runner King. I want her I love her she is amour de mi vie!" King lets O'Grady know he does not speak Italian and he wants his runner back now. Jimmy O'Grady screams out "it's French you dumb a@#$%^&*!.
