For the past sixteen years, police haven't solved a troubling case. There are no clues, no suspects and it's not much of a priority to them either. In mourning after the death of her young daughter, Leah Menas can't help but feel like she's lost her again when her daughter's body ends up on the list of missing children whose bodies have been exhumed. Edward Dandridge is a computer repairman who is resolved to caring for his bed-ridden aunt, Carla. Having survived a tragic childhood, Edward, who is pretty much a loner, has given up any notion of finding happiness. That is until he meets Leah and is totally smitten. Leah however, isn't sure she's ready to get back to the "real world" after having been a recluse for so long. Especially now, while her daughter's body is still missing. Detective Sargeant Melissa Thomas is determined to find out who the grave robber is and return the children to their restful state. What she finds out in the process however, will shock everyone. Paper Angels is a psychological thriller about loss, grief, guilt and redemption - but not necessarily in that order.
