Police officer Maria Moosandl and her lover Rocco Pacelli are expecting offspring. Unfortunately, the family circumstances are anything but ideal: Maria's father is the police chief in the tranquil Landsberg and her future father-in-law Silvio is the well-connected owner of the pizzeria "Il Paradiso" and governor of a Sicilian mafia clan. In order to advance his own family business, the patron has already arranged a wedding for his only son - of course to the daughter of the powerful clan boss from Naples. A last-minute cancellation would cost the Pacellis more than dearly. They are currently in the middle of a life-and-death turf war with the local mafia competition in Landsberg. The fact that Rocco improperly disposed of Luciano Fantuzzi's body and his brother is now seeking revenge brings further complications. Maria not only discovers the "side businesses" of her future relatives, but also her own father's suspicious connections to the Pacellis. In order to rearrange the family situation until the birth, the heavily pregnant Maria takes control of the situation herself.
