Herb (2016)

A 20-something wannabe chef is too blinded by his ego and naiveness to realize that he's not that great of a cook, which is partly due to his well-intentioned best friend who always encourages him although she knows he's a mediocre cook. When Food Network casting directors are basically the first people to tell him he's not good, he doesn't accept it, which leads him to re-watch his cooking videos and realize he's not good and that he hasn't been a good friend, which not only allows him to accept reality but also brings him and his friend closer together.
