The Waste Land (2016)

Anton, a 16-year old outcast, is severely bullied at his high school. When he pleads with his parents to put him in a different school his father tells him he needs to stand up for himself. Not long after, Anton's father walks out leaving his mother in charge of taking care of him and his little sister amidst a divorce. During an in-class reading of "The Waste Land" by T.S. Eliot, Anton begins reading deeply into the poem's meaning, which begins to distort his reality. Feeling ignored and betrayed by those around him, Anton decides to illegally purchase a gun online to deal with the mounting pressures in his life.
