Middle class Emma has everything; the undervalued degree, a job of last resort and a growing cloud of debt. A 'northern girl', this ultimate achiever gets her big break in London, where the daily montage of life consists of clinging to the greasy career ladder. When Emma meets her partner they escape back up north. But a directive from London makes Emma realise there's no class to being the middle; it's just them and us.
