Jean-Luc and his sister Paulette (a disabled girl in a wheelchair), Marc and Theodore, are driving an ersatz of motor home. They run out of petrol. Jean-Luc does not want to turn back. The night is falling. Fear is lurking about. In the morning, Jean-Luc and Marc go in quest of food and drink, while life regenerates in the forest. Theo stays with Paulette. They meet three natural girls: Strength, Desire, and Fear, whose speaking and behavior are not very understandable to them. Nevertheless, they succeed in picking some of the apples the girls kept in their cave. But when they come back to the camping place, it's raining, the motor home has been devastated, Theodore beaten up, and Paulette kidnapped. In the dead of night, the three boys find the three natural girls and Paulette. One after the other, they vanish after saying what they had to say. And Paulette, stands up and, although still quite weak, follows them. After a first final credits, a modest pilgrimage springs up in the very place where Paulette vanished.
