"The Search for the Smallest Wave" was a prestige documentary series from 2014 that chronicled the adventures of two of the biggest small wave surfers in the world as they left their East Coast homeland for the promise of the more nuanced ripples of the south Santa Monica Bay. The show was cancelled thirty five seconds into the airing of the pilot, and all the negatives were destroyed. The only remaining episode of "The Search for the Smallest Wave" was found in the back corner of the now-defunct Manhattan Beach house known as The Walmer, wedged between a moldy Flabongo and a skunked bottle of BC Brewery's Breakup Belgian. It is presented for you today, uncut and restored as much as possible to its original condition.
