Le Diable en enfer (1990)

A rich citizen of Capsa (on the Barbary Coast) had among his children a graceful and amiable daughter named Alibech, who was not baptized. Many Christian inhabitants praised their faith and the service of God in front of her. Alibech asked one of them how to serve God well. She was told that His best servants where the ones who fled from the world and particularly those who had sought retirement on the scorched mountain of the Thebaide. The girl was highly excited, and without telling anybody, she started on her journey the next day in great secrecy
