Three Lotus Flowers (2016)

A micro short film adapted from a theatrical poem by Kay Adshead. Based on accounts of forced late term abortions carried out by authorities enforcing China's one child policy, the film explores the nature of one woman's defiance in the face of violations of her bodily autonomy and the stages of grief. Is the acceptance that life ultimately endures perhaps the only victory?
