The Tragedy of King Lear (2017)

Based upon Shakespeare's 1606 tragedy with a new screenplay by Stephen Armourae. There are a number of differences including dialogue and some new characters. Set c.505 AD the production is set in the Dark Ages, also known as the Early Middle Ages. The film contains many references to Pagan religions and the rise of the power of the Saxons. Parental warning: contains violence and blood drinking.
