Tales from the Amazon river. A boat-movie by João Leite. Heading upriver, the documentary "Aquamazonida" lets the Amazon River speak for itself. Between popular legends and encounters with its habitants, it tells us about its journey from its mouth up to Manaus, in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Its waters lit by an ever changing light, allow us to sneak up close to its many secrets. Natural forces, one after the other, help make this trip a physical experience out of which magic sometimes surges, in the shape of the cobra grande ... A generous film, that hopes to pay tribute to this entire Amazonian complex with all its peoples, its rivers and its forest.
