Silver Lining (2017)

Seth, a musical theater actor, takes a support job 'babysitting' a curmudgeonly octogenarian named Judy who mistakes him for her dead son. Judy slips in and out of lucidity on their first afternoon together, which culminates in Judy's offer to accompany Seth on his audition piece, Jerome Kern's 'Look for the Silver Lining.' At the song's conclusion, in a moment of clarity, Judy is transformed, recognizing Seth really isn't her son. Seth is bewildered by what they've shared, honored to be a part of this meaningful moment.
