In Conversation with Vogue Arabia (2016)

This video was commissioned for the historic launch of the very first digital issue of Vogue Arabia. The attempt is to take on the challenge and constraints of the short 'interview format' , the imposed use fashion as an instrument due to the film's first outlet, whilst trying to convey something broader about the film protagonist's and the Arab identity and essence. The film wants to play with the image of a glamorous woman, with the idea of womanhood and fashion from a less literal perspective, to experiment towards a more realistic and intimate perception of the Middle Eastern city's soul and life. It was important for the film to feel genuine, mysterious, somewhat humorous and authentically reflective of the modern Arab world.
